Our love story began long, long ago in daycare!

Halloween in Mount Horeb! Sawyer was a clown and Emi dressed up as a pizza.

We were looking at each other back then and had no clue that nearly 27 years later we would be getting married!

On this day around 20 years from the last time we saw each other in person. We ran into each other in a restaurant in the middle of nowhere in a small town in western Wisconsin. Sawyer was in town for the weekend but lived in Tennessee and Emi was visiting friends when they just happened to run into each other. Sawyer somehow recognized Emi right away and said hello. We were both shocked to see each other after all this time.

A new tradition was born. When Sawyer moved back to Wisconsin we reconnected and decided to hang out. We decided that on Valentines Day we would get together and make a heart-shaped pizza to commemorate our very "first date" together which was when we were in kindergarten. We went to Emperor's New Groove in the theatre and got heart-shaped pizza as Emi's dad chaperoned. Now we do this every year together to remember where it all started.

Hiking at High Cliff State Park together to enjoy a picnic and sunset! After many fun dates like this one, Sawyer and Emi started dating on March 26th, 2023.

Our second annual heart-shaped pizza night! One of them didn't quite turn heart- shaped, but it was a good try.

Winter birding trip to the Sax-Zim Bog where we saw the Black-backed or "three-toed" woodpecker, Snowy owl, Northern hawk- owl, and many more birds. It was such a fun trip.

Fall adventures in Black River Falls.

After our trip to Arizona to Visit Sawyer's Grandpa Ted and celebrate his birthday, we set out on a road trip. our first stop, the Grand Canyon!

Next stop on our western adventure was, Zion National Park!

We took a beautiful hike to Taggart lake in Grand Teton National Park.

Hiking hot springs and a yummy dinner at Lochsha Lidge in Lolo Hot Springs, Montana.

Next stop, the west side of Glacier National Park.

The East side of Glacier Park where we saw a grizzly bear and took in gorgeous unobstructed views.

Glacier was our last big stop before heading to through the Dakotas and back home. It was one amazing trip.
